Jarlsberg Cheese Dip!
This is an absolutely classic recipe with my family. Holidays, game nights, any odd gathering, and you better believe we are concocting a batch of Jarlsberg Cheese Dip! It’s quick and simple to make and it’s a guaranteed crowd pleaser.
I recently submitted my family’s Jarlsberg Cheese Dip recipe in the Pinterest x Food 52 Golden Recipe Contest. This was a full-circle moment for me, because at this time last year I was actually a Pinterest employee! Before I devoted my life to cheese, I was working on Pinterest’s Workplace team, helping to build Pinterest offices all over the world. Fast forward to one year later and here I am trying my luck as a Pinterest creator!
If you happen to be a Pinterest user, I would greatly appreciate it if you visited my Idea Pin and saved it to one of your Pinterest boards. The recipe itself is more like a ratio (1 part green onion : 1 part red onion : 2 parts mayo : 4 parts Jarlsberg cheese). Let your cheese be the guide, i.e. your mound of shredded Jarlsberg equals your 4 parts and adjust the rest of the ingredients from there. You can do it!
Ingredients:
- Jarlsberg cheese, shredded
- Green onion, finely chopped
- Red onion, finely chopped
- Mayo
Steps:
- Prep – Finely chop the green and red onions, shred Jarlsberg cheese
- Mix – Onions go into cheese shreds, mix with your hand
- Mix – Mayo goes into the cheese+onion, mix with a spoon
- Season – Give it a little salt and pepper, taste and adjust
- Enjoy – Eat with your favorite cracker, chip, or veggies
