This is an absolutely classic recipe with my family. Holidays, game nights, any odd gathering, and you better believe we are concocting a batch of Jarlsberg Cheese Dip! It’s quick and simple to make and it’s a guaranteed crowd pleaser.

I recently submitted my family’s Jarlsberg Cheese Dip recipe in the Pinterest x Food 52 Golden Recipe Contest. This was a full-circle moment for me, because at this time last year I was actually a Pinterest employee! Before I devoted my life to cheese, I was working on Pinterest’s Workplace team, helping to build Pinterest offices all over the world. Fast forward to one year later and here I am trying my luck as a Pinterest creator!

The recipe itself is more like a ratio (1 part green onion : 1 part red onion : 2 parts mayo : 4 parts Jarlsberg cheese). Ingredients:

  • Jarlsberg cheese, shredded
  • Green onion, finely chopped
  • Red onion, finely chopped
  • Mayo

Steps:

  • Prep – Finely chop the green and red onions, shred Jarlsberg cheese
  • Mix – Onions go into cheese shreds, mix with your hand
  • Mix – Mayo goes into the cheese+onion, mix with a spoon
  • Season – Give it a little salt and pepper, taste and adjust
  • Enjoy – Eat with your favorite cracker, chip, or veggies
