Everyone loves melty cheese

Hi cheese friends! I’m happy to share that we partnered with Grey Barn this past Saturday for an afternoon of cheese tasting and raclette demonstration. This event was the first of its kind for Grey Barn, and hopefully the start of a beautiful partnership! Guests were welcomed into the space and offered a grazing board featuring Grey Barn’s farmstead cheeses: Prufrock, Bluebird, Banneker, and Mix Tape. We had laid out traditional raclette accompaniments of fresh bread, charcuterie, cornichons, pearled onions, and boiled potatoes.

I gave a little spiel of the history and traditions of raceltte while guests noshed and filled their little plates. Then, I fired up the raclette machine and loaded in the Bon Anniversaire cheese. Created as a cheese that celebrates 10 years of farming and cheesemaking, Grey Barn’s Bon Anniversaire is a larger format washed rind cheese. It’s exterior is a “captivating soft orange hue that encases the epitome of bold, funky, stinky, and buttery goodness”. I’m pleased to report that it melted like a dream on the raclette machine and everyone was raving about how delicious it was.

Melty, brown-bubbly goodness!

I’m really excited to introduce “Raclette Parties” as an MV Cheesery offering. I’m leaning into these cheesy, educational experiences that allow me to nerd out about cheese and introduce people to new facts and flavors. Please reach out if you’re interested in hosting your own raclette party!

What began as a grazing box company has evolved into a cheesy events company!
