Super Bowl! Valentines Day! Some pretty cheese-filled “holidays” in my book. How did we fare? Did we survive? Did we eat more Jarlsberg Dip than we should’ve? Yes, absolutely. I have a feeling that once the store is up and running next year, these events will be a killer one-two punch. I’ll be ready for it!

We had the coffee machine technicians in the store yesterday! Catboat Coffee Co. brewed it’s first ever cup of coffee! Very exciting milestone. We’re getting there, we’re getting there.

Some cheesy offerings from around the net (do people still call it the net? The web? Am I aging myself here?):

🧀  The past two days, I’ve been attending the Vermont Cheese Council Winter Conference. Feeling very grateful that there are virtual learning opportunities and ways to connect with makers and cheese experts! (VT Cheese Council)

🧀  “I believe mobile cheese vehicles could be the future of cheese education”. This article from Madame Fromage has me feeling INSPIRED to get a little cheese vehicle in my life. But let’s get the cheese counter open first before I take my show on the road. (Cheese Professor)

🧀  Let’s all join cheese writer Alexandra Jones in rejecting the healthy/unhealthy binary around food. Cheese has nourished humans for 9,000 years so keep the bullshit-diet-culture-rhetoric away from this precious, life-sustaining foodstuff! (Milkfed)

🧀  For a mere $420 you can sponsor a goat’s retirement at Scalawag Farm in Maine. I hope that MV Cheesery is soon in a position where we can sponsor a whole menagerie of retired milkers! (Instagram)

Let’s keep on cheesin’ on.
